Recruiting the Next Generation of Angels: Building Programs that Attract and Retain Investors
Description

The number of people in the United States (and around the world) who qualify as Accredited Investors is growing in number. Yet, many don’t realize they qualify or have no clear path into angel investing. It is advantageous for Angel Groups to build programs that are attractors of new members - Angel Investors. Successful groups attract more angels than they lose (or who have stopped writing checks).

This session explores strategies for building programs that attract new angels, cultivate lead investors, and create sustainable investment communities. Using lessons from Seattle, San Diego, Alaska, and other ecosystems, we’ll dig into models such as venture studios, accelerators, and group-based investing programs that help turn check writing curious into solid $50K+ commitments companies value. Attendees will leave with actionable tools to recruit, activate, and retain new angels in their own regions.
