Linda L. Smith has had a distinguished public and private career and is an active investor in start-up, entrepreneurial companies. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Global Business Angel Network (GBAN) and Chairman Emeritus of the Angel Capital Association (ACA). Her angel investments portfolio includes both US and non-US based start-ups.
GBAN is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), an internationally-esteemed organization of early-stage investors, founders, and eco-system builders seeking to increase innovation in nearly 140 countries on all major continents. In her role as GBAN Board Co-Chair, Ms. Smith works to promote and support angel investor groups in diverse parts of the globe.
Ms. Smith was Managing Director of Pacific Allied Products for 13 years, a diversified plastics manufacturing company, where she increased revenues over 130%. Additionally, she had an outstanding 22-year public service career that included serving three U.S. Presidents, two Congressmen, one mayor, and the Governor of Hawaii. She received her undergraduate degree from Occidental College, a Masters degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship, and completed the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University executive program.
She and her husband, also an angel investor, reside in Reno, Nevada.
