David is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin with a degree in Business and a major in Marketing.
After starting his retail career in St. Louis, David came to Ohio in 1990 to join Limited Brands as a merchant for Victoria’s Secret Stores and their Beauty division. He was responsible for merchandising and product development and had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout Europe and Asia for trend and sourcing.
In 1995, David co-founded Atrium Buying Corp. Atrium works with national and international specialty brands to design, develop and source fashion-right, brand-right product. They also provide support services including light assembly, distribution and domestic screen printing. Their customers include Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, Thirty-One Gifts, Mac Tools, Homage, 7-Eleven, Pelotonia and more. With development offices in the USA, as well as sourcing offices in Asia, the team is 120 strong and growing!
With a focus on mentorship, David co-founded Main+High, a real estate investment firm deploying capital in the Senior living, multi-family housing, student housing and hotel sectors. He is also an active investor in over 50 start-ups through the BreakTrail Venture funds, and independent seed investments.
David has been an active Executive in Residence for the Denison Global Commerce Major and sits on the Fifth Third Bank Central Ohio Market Board.
He resides in Granville, Ohio with his wife of 38 years. They have three children, all of whom have a true passion for business,… and four grandchildren.
