Eliza is the Chief Business Officer at The Possible Zone, an engaging, hands-on, and tuition-free entrepreneurship program for high school students from under-resourced communities in Boston. She began her career in the non-profit public health and education space where she lived and worked for over a decade in sub-Saharan Africa and China. During this time she held senior roles as a program implementer, Grantmaker and Senior Advisor for a number of organizations including the Izumi Foundation, the JC Flowers Foundation, Mothers2Mothers and World Education. Recognizing the impact that innovation, entrepreneurship and Venture could have for good, Eliza shifted her career focus to the investment space, serving as the Investment Director for Zino Ventures/Kung Ho Fund where she sought out disruptive startups in the edtech, fintech and ecommerce spaces, and co-Founding Chain Reaction, an angel group that invests in early stage blockchain/web3 startups.

Eliza graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Chinese History and earned her MSc at the Harvard School of Public Health in the Department of Population and International Health. She is an active member of Launchpad Venture Group and values her role as a mentor with VenCapital, an investor accelerator that provides entry-level experience for minorities and women seeking career opportunities in venture finance. She supports the work of Refugee Protection International as a dedicated Board member.
